I strongly support common-sense gun safety measures, including background checks, closing loopholes, and preventing illegal gun trafficking across state lines. Our schools must remain safe places for our children to receive a quality education without worrying that a real tragedy could happen at any moment during the school day. I have cosponsored legislation in the New Jersey General Assembly to upgrade school security infrastructure and improve communication with public safety officials during emergencies.

We must also make sure our state laws keep up with advancements in technology that expose new safety concerns, and I was proud to vote in favor of legislation banning untraceable firearms, also known as “ghost guns.”

Addiction is a disease that deeply impacts the lives of our family, friends, and community members, and we must work to knock out the social stigma around addiction.

Building a strong support network is a very important part of helping an individual work towards recovery. I am working hard to reduce the costs by supporting legislation that prevents health insurance companies from denying necessary coverage for mental and behavioral health services. I have sponsored legislation that will help more people in the criminal justice system overcome drug and alcohol addiction through expanding access to New Jersey’s Drug Court program, which has proven to be an effective approach towards reducing drug and alcohol dependency as well as recidivism.

To improve our mental health and addiction services in New Jersey, we have to stop allowing insurance companies to short-change patients.

I am fighting to protect the working class by creating more opportunities for all members of society to earn livable wages and increasing access to paid leave. New Jersey has been a real leader nationally in developing a strong paid leave program, and I have supported legislation to improve it so it better meets the needs of working families.

Consumers need a seat at the table in state government, and I have supported legislation that will create consumer protections for products containing formaldehyde, as well as public utility ratepayers.

I’m committed to protecting our clean water, air, and open space matters from overdevelopment. But we also need smart, responsible growth. It’s a careful balance but with the right policies, we can protect our environment while also supporting strong economic growth. We can, and we should, do both.

In the 15th Legislative District, our community relies on the Delaware River, not only as a vital source of drinking water but as an economic engine, driving commerce and tourism for centuries.

We cannot allow hazardous waste to pollute the air and waterways that we all rely upon. New Jersey should be on the front lines of innovation for cleaner and more efficient forms of energy to power our state. We can move closer to this goal by making it easier and more affordable to upgrade to clean infrastructure and expanding access to green upgrades for homes and businesses. That creates jobs and protects and restores our environment.

As the father of my daughter, Alyssa, I will not stand by while employers pay women less for the same work as their male counterparts.

Whether in the workplace, healthcare, or anywhere, equality lifts everyone. I am proud to have co-sponsored legislation supporting reproductive freedom, access to abortion, and gender affirming care. Maternal health should also be a priority for the safety of all women, children, and families as a whole, and I have sponsored legislation increasing funding for maternal mental health services.

I am firmly committed to standing with the LGBTQ+ members of our community and will continue to fight for their rights.
